The engineering approach is to perform
an original structural analysis based on newly derived
loads coupled with a 100,000+ node Finite Element Model
of all relevant structures to demonstrate positive margins.
Significant structural modifications
to the aircraft will not rely on comparative analysis,
thus putting the modification on methodological par
with that of the OEM's modification.
